No resumes. No online applications. Just walk in and talk to Abraham.
We've never posted a job on Indeed. Never will. Here's how hiring works at Big Mouth: you come in, you ask for Abraham (or whoever's running the shift), and you have a conversation. If you seem like someone who shows up on time, works hard, and actually cares about food, you'll probably start next week.
Most of our staff live in the neighborhood. Some have been here for over a decade. A few started as dishwashers in high school and worked their way up to running the grill. We don't churn through employees because we treat them right — fair pay, flexible schedules, and all the burgers you can eat on shift.
Pay: Starting $20/hour, more with experience
Type: Full-time
You'll cook burgers over open flame. That sounds simple until you actually do it — fire is unpredictable, timing matters, and you're working fast during rush. We'll train you if you've never worked a grill before, but you need to be comfortable with heat, smoke, and standing for 6-8 hours. Prior kitchen experience is a plus but not required. What matters more is whether you take pride in getting it right.
Pay: Starting $18/hour
Type: Full-time or part-time
Take orders, handle the register, serve food, keep the front of house clean. You're the first person customers see, so being friendly matters. Being fast matters more during the Saturday lunch rush. We'll teach you the menu and the POS system — you just need to show up ready to work and be good with people.
Pay: Starting $18/hour
Type: Full-time or part-time, mornings preferred
Cut potatoes for fries, prep vegetables, portion burger patties, keep the kitchen organized. Morning shifts start at 9 AM. This role is the backbone of the operation — if prep isn't done right, the whole day falls apart. Detail-oriented people do well here.
Competitive pay starting $18-20/hour. Free meals on shift — eat whatever you want from the menu. Flexible scheduling that works around school, family, or a second job. No corporate HR department. If you have a problem, you talk to Abraham directly, and he'll fix it that day.
Walk into either location and ask for the manager. That's it. No online forms. No cover letter. No "tell me about a time when..." questions. We'll have a normal conversation, and if it feels right for both of us, you'll be on the schedule within a week.
